Light Beer Food Pairings
Many craft beer and food pairing experts agree that pairing lighter foods (like seafood) with lighter beers, like Stampede PLUS® make for a delicious meal. Here's a crab cake recipe the Stampede team created to enjoy with PLUS. This dish has lots of crabmeat and lighter breadcrumbs (Panko breadcrumbs). Many crab cakes served in restaurants contain more breadcrumbs than crabmeat. With this recipe you'll enjoy more flavorful crabmeat with each bite!

While flipping through the indexes of the cookbooks on our shelf to find dishes cooked with beer—we only scored one that sounded tasty (and is low-carb). We attended the final event on November 16th and what an event it was! 15 top chefs from the San Diego area worked with local breweries to create beer and food pairings for this event. All of the food was scrumptious and enhanced the flavor profile of each paired-beer. There were a couple of standouts though.
Our overall favorite was a Molasses Braised Short Rib...
San Diego Beer Week's 200-plus events during 10 days is over. It was packed with high-quality local craft beers, unique events, fun people (many from out of town), friendly chefs, and wonderful food.
We wound up SDBW by attending the fabulous Chefs' Celebration of San Diego Beers on Sunday. This event was sponsored by San Diego Brewers Guild. Awesome event!
More about the delicious food and beer pairings later. One of the perks was this recipe shared by the talented and very nice Gunther...
There are lots of places where you can read about wine and food pairings or recipes using wine. So, here at Stampede we're going to talk about beer and food pairings and cooking with beer. Especially light beer.
Cook with & Drink One Beer
In doing some research on the subject, we found lots of references to using the same beer in the recipe that you use in the tasting. So we thought that, since we will be using a light beer, we would start with a dish that might be considered on the...
